Starting setter for the women’s 1st team, Chrissie brings a stability to the court that has helped in no small way to allow the team to finish 5th in the national league.

Her mobility on court allows her to produce a quality set from balls that most other players would struggle to even reach. This ability allowed the Mets girls on numerous occasion to not only remain in rallies, but to convert a poor ball into a potent attack. Staying in rallies in this manner causes frustration to the opposition and has allowed Mets to win several games that could easily have slipped beyond them. Her role as a setter is supplemented by a strong block, capability to hit and a powerful serve that has been responsible for large runs of points in most matches.

A difficult season was closed by Chrissie being selected to play for Scotland. Initially as libero, but changed at very short notice to setter. She played with distinction in the small nations championships in the Faroe Islands, gaining her first cap.
