Following a stint playing professionally in Germany, Alan joined Mets as setter for the first team, bringing with him an incredible level of skill to the position.

Alan has played all sets of all matches this season and been instrumental in helping the team achieve the best results in the club history.

Coming from a strong volleyball background, dad, Vince coaches Troon VC women, sisters Elaine and Jennifer play 1st division national for Troon, with Elaine also setting for Scotland.

Both Alan and Elaine were voted runners up Scottish player of the year this season.
